PROJECT VIABILITY:

Feasibilty Report Based on Market Survey:

Our qualified field workers will prepare this report in order to help the promoter determine the objectives of his project with clarity, i.e.
n

The type of services to be provided- secondary care / tertiary care

n
Sophistication in building plan & equipments
n
Investments & returns he is looking for

The feasibility report shall bring out the following:

n

The potential of the planned institution

n

The medical facilities that are lacking and need to be made available

n

The migration pattern of patients

n

Competition from existing hospitals and new entrants

Based on the above observations and findings, a detailed project report will be prepared, with following objectives:

n

To recommend required medical departments

n

To recommend required medical equipment

n

To determine required human resources

n

To project financial performance of a specific period of operation

n

To arrive at a completion date

n

To plan future expansion

FEASIBILITY STUDY REPORT:

A Feasibility Study Report is a business plan for a specific project.  It provides the rationale and the support for that rationale to pursue a specific project from the feasibility phase, pre-construction, construction and occupancy through investment and technical management.

The objectives of a feasibility study is to find out whether an information system project can be done (...is it possible?...is it justified?) and to suggest possible alternative solutions.

A feasibility study should provide management with enough information to decide:

n
Whether the project can be done
n

Whether the final product will benefit its intended users

n
What are the alternatives among which a solution will be chosen (during subsequent phases)
n
Whether there exists a preferred alternative

A feasibility report is dynamic integration of financial investment, technical data, HR considerations and thorough output with return on investment (ROI) consideration in the project. It should be as dynamic as possible to incorporate any change to assumptions or to incorporate new information.  As a result, all assumptions made and specified in the Feasibility Study are meticulously documented.  The report is prepared in close consultation with our client (in addition to an architect, construction consultant and others) since some of the work included in the report most likely has already been completed by the client.

Despite the critical importance of a business plan, many Entrepreneurs and companies procrastinate when it comes to preparing a written business plan document.  They argue that they know their project and they have done their homework. Some also feel that their marketplace changes too fast for a feasibility plan to be useful or that they just do not have enough time.  However, Entrepreneurs and Investors should not rush into new investments without a plan or a Feasibility Report.

PROJECT FINANCE:

Our qualified personnel can provide financial planning at three stages:

Gestation: from commencement of construction to commencement of operations

Operational Stage: stage of production & sale of services

Expansion Stage

With respect to the stage, we determine:

n

Capital required

n

Sources of capital- Promoter's contribution

   Long-term Institutional loans

Equity Share Capital (in case of Corporate Hospitals)

   Operating profits

Ratio of different sources in total capital

n

Cost of capital & recovery through appropriated operational profit

n

Estimation of financial risk

LAND SELECTION:

Based on our experienced based perception we can help you in selecting the property for your project, in case you need assistance in the same This is optional and will be mainly based on the market survey and the budget of the client.

INITIAL PLANNING:

PROJECT PLANNING & BUILDING:

It is necessary to proceed in an orderly manner through a series of stages in the planning and building of a hospital. It has been a common practice of the promoters to press forward to hastily in the preparation of architectural plans without sufficient preliminary planning, the result is that, when the medical personnel who are going to work in the institution scrutinize the plan, they are found to be wrong.

Our experienced and qualified “PLANNING TEAM” includes:

PROMOTER
+
ONE OR MORE APPOINTED ADMINISTRATORS
& / OR
ADVISORS

+

HOSPICON
PLANNING TEAM
Qualified Architect
Qualified Interior Designer
Consultant
Structural Engineer

Our preliminary planning consists of Area scrutiny, Estimation of Capital, Estimation of Service Requirements and Preparation of Layout options.

The Hospicon Planning Program broadly covers the following areas:
n

The Master Plan

External Circulation Routes Plan

Internal Circulation Routes Plan

Hospital Zoning Plan

Light and Color Plan

n

Complex Structure Building

n

Drainage and Sanitation Construction

n

Air-conditioning

n

Water Supply

n

Gas Supply

n

Communication & I.T

Our Planning Team simultaneously performs the following activities:

n

Liaison with all Agencies viz. Architects / contractors / equipment vendors / utility service consultants.

n

Expert management of any major changes in original project plans.

n

On site supervision while the structure is under construction.

n

Guidance and supervision of electrical wiring in various departments, plumbing facilities, planning UPS requirements of the departments etc.

We provide two optional layouts of the project. The construction is carried out as per the layout selected by the user. The user can also suggest modifications in the layouts as per his requirement.

AREA AND FUND ALLOCATION:

The hospital building is different from the usual residential and commercial buildings. This requires experience in the medical field to decide the amount of money and space to be allocated to each and every part of the building. The operation theatre lobby has to be designed in a certain way so as to ensure the infection control of the OT.

Our experience in the medical field will help make the best possible use of the available area in the most cost effective way.

MEDICAL FACILITY PLANNING:

Hospitals are facilities that are heavily serviced and are built to last, and yet they have to constantly adapt to changing needs coming mainly from technological development and new medical practices.

After the construction, the next imperative step is planning the various speciality departments. This is based on the mandatory facilities, commissioning of the hospital, the socio-economic structure of the hospital neighborhood, the current medical practices, availability of the services and also the overall budget of the owner.

We have professionals in house to plan and work out the tentative departments in the hospital so as to project the income-expenses of the department in particular and hospital as a whole.

For existing setups we do analysis of various departments to pronounce loss making and profit making centers. The formulation of strategies is then done to minimize losses and boosting profit of the various departments.

EQUIPMENT PLANNING & PURCHASE:

The range of medical equipment required for a project could be vast, ranging from a simple hospital cot to a complex MRI machine. These equipments could add up to 50 to 60% of the total cost of the project.

Also the specific civil design and power supply criteria required for certain hi-tech equipment, for example, Laminar Airflow required in a Cardiac OT complex, play a significant role and require a lot of technical expertise.

In addition to this, the perils of budgetary shortfalls in course of the project are evident.

An expert “Techno-Planning Panel” (TPP), comprising of doctors, senior nursing staff and biomedical engineers with hands down experience in the use and purchase of medical equipment, enables to conduct a series of planned operations to purchase the best quality and cost-effective equipment as per the timely requirements of the project.

Plus our access to global technology database and “Technology Scrutiny Program” (TSP) support our ultimate goal.
